- The Compass Foundation and the Australian Christian Lobby runs a program called "Compass" for students who are about to enter university or enter a gap year who are
- performing well academically
- have a strong commitment to their faith and are keen to engage the world for Christ
- demonstrate a high potential to be influential and strategic in their future profession
This program aims to
- Train leaders who will strategically shape the nation for Christian values by engaging intelligently and sensitively for Christ in an increasingly secularised world
- Equip Christian students to not just survive university with their faith intact but to thrive in this scholarly and often morally challenging environment
- Maximise students' effectiveness for Christ in their future profession
The program starts with a conference in January. Students are then attached to mentors and take part in high performance coaching. For example, if a student is studying law and interested in family law then Compass will link the student to a Christian Professor in family law or a Christian Federal Magistrate.
Invitation is by nomination only. The Principal of CQCC may nominate a maximum of 2 students per year. Please talk to the Principal if you are interested.
