Welcome Aboard Dr Patson!

Central Queensland Christian College would like to extend a very warm welcome to Noel Patson. Happy Birthday Miss Toohey

Happy Birthday Miss Toohey

March 2nd was a special day as CQCC celebrated Miss Toohey’s birthday. Four beautiful bunches of flowers were delivered for the Birthday Girl; walking towards the Upper Primary classroom, you could smell it before you could see it! Miss Toohey has been teaching at Central Queensland Christian College for 8 years and is our longest serving teacher. We appreciate her hard work and hope she has a very happy birthday!

Graduate: Christopher

Graduate: Christopher

Christopher is one of Central Queensland Christian College’s proud graduates. He graduated year 12 in 2008 and started mowing lawns for Purple Patch Mowing. In 2010 Big Colour Works hired Christopher as a Photocopier Technician and he has worked there ever since. He enjoys his job and CQCC loves seeing him whenever the office printer breaks down! Christopher encourages students to work hard and strive for excellence. He says stepping in the right direction, no matter how hard, is worth the effort and pays off in the end.

Thumbs-Up for Chess Team

Thumbs-Up for Chess Team

Central Queensland Christian College signed a few students up for the Rockhampton Chess Competition for the first time 4 years ago. Our inspiring team didn’t place that first year but that didn’t stop a chess revolution from breaking out in the school playground. Our hard working students learned a few tricks and entered the competition again the following year...Central Queensland Christian College has placed first ever since. Round one of the 2012 competition was held on February 23rd and both the CQCC Highschool and Primary teams stole the show.

Congratulations Chess Teams: First in Round 1

Building Confidence

One of our hopes and prayers for children as they grow up is that they will be able to enter the world with a sense of confidence and humble boldness. Where does such confidence come from?

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” Psalm 20:7

Parent Information Night

Parent Information Night

Parent Information Night was completely fabulous! The night was full of important information about what students are studying this term and homework expectations. Socially, it was the perfect opportunity to mingle with other parents and enjoy some delicious coffee! Central Queensland Christian College really encourages strong parent-teacher relationships so it was wonderful to have such a large attendance on Wednesday night. If you were unable to attend Parent Information Night, please to talk to your child’s teacher about what was discussed.

Korean Friends

Korean Friends

Shinae Kim runs an English program, here in Australia, for Korean students. Parents send their children to Shinae for instruction in the English language and to spend a few months in an Australian school. We’re so blessed to have four lovely Korean students with us this term! They’re enjoying school and their English is fast improving! Alice, Christine, Hannah and Sally (pictured above) look forward to meeting you.
