At present CQCC has 30cm of water under its' buildings but is not sustaining significant damage as most of this area is used for storage only. One area has some carpet that may need replacing. Ground level air-conditioning units will need to be cleaned out examined to see if they are able to be used or need to be replaced.
Presentation Night, Practice, Breakup Day
Dear Parents,
As we enter our last week of school there are some arrangements I need to advise you of about:
PRESENTATION NIGHT PRACTICE
To prepare for Presentation Night, Primary students will have a practice at the Peace Community Centre on Thozet Road from 9:00am to 11:30am. Secondary students will practice from 11:30am to 1:00pm. Students will be transported to and from the centre via bus. An excursion permission note will come home soon.
PRESENTATION NIGHT
School Fees 2011
Dear Parents,
As per correspondence at the end of last year, the school board has been reviewing our fee structure, aligning more with similar schools in the independent sector without creating disadvantage for existing parents. At present our annual fees for Primary are $1,707.30 and $1,935.70 for Secondary. In the independent schools sector, there are high fee schools, schools with fees in a medium range and schools with low fees. Schools with an annual fee of $3,000 are considered a low fees school.
Improvement Survey
We’d like to know how we can improve the College and have attached a survey to see what suggestions you might have. It would be very helpful if every family could complete a survey to accurately gauge the general level of satisfaction across the entire school community. Therefore we would be most grateful if you could complete the survey and return it to the office before the end of school next week.
Prep / Year 1 Information Night
You’re invited to come and hear why Central Queensland Christian College is a great place for your child to start school, the importance of Christian schooling and how our dedicated and caring staff can help build character, achievement and meaningful success in life.

Orders for 2011 Uniforms Needed Now
Because suppliers are closed over the holidays, we have to organise our orders now. Orders made in the New Year will not arrive until early February after school begins. To ensure that you have everything you need for the start of school next year, please give the attached order form your urgent attention and return by Friday the 5th of November. This will allow us to have uniforms ready for you to collect by the end of school or the first week of the holidays.

Formal Parents and Friends Meeting
The Parents & Friends Association has now been incorporated with a formal role and Constitution. All parents of the school at the time of incorporation were automatically added to the roll. The P & F has been generating meaningful income through tuckshop proceeds of which, combined with the pie drive, were able to help send our chess teams to Brisbane. The P & F desires to raise significant funds to improve amenities and opportunities for all our children. You are cordially invited to a P & F Members Meeting on Wednesday the 3rd of November at 7pm at the College.
