What a joy we have each day, sowing seeds into children’s lives! I enjoy thinking about the fruit that will come from our labour in the coming years and decades. The Bible says that we will reap what we sow. We sow seeds through our words and deeds, through what we say and how we live. We can be sure that as we sow the word of God into the lives of our children, a harvest of righteousness will come.

Indeed, our very life becomes a seed that is sown into the lives of others. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” As we literally spend our lives on our children we are investing in eternity. Everything of the world around us will pass away, but our children will live forever.
