Homework Policy

In consideration of the attached research and Queensland Education policy, Central Queensland Christian College has set the following guidelines for homework:

• In the Prep Year, students will not be set homework.
• Homework in Years 1-3 could be up to but not more than 20min per day on the following activities:
  • Number facts revision
  • Spelling revision
  • Reading
  • Small assigned tasks as required
• Homework in Years 4-5 could be up to but not more than 35min per day or 2-3 hours per week on the following activities:
  • Number facts revision each day
  • Spelling revision each day
  • In-completed work as required
• Homework in Years 6-7 could be up to but not more than 3-4 hours each week on the following activities:
  • Number facts revision each day
  • Spelling revision each day
  • In-completed work as required
  • Assigned tasks as required
• Homework in Years 8-9 could be up to but not more than 5 hours each week on assigned tasks.
• Homework in Years 10-12 will vary according to the young persons' learning needs and individual programs of learning.
