Receive CQCC updates via Twitter or Facebook

Dear Parents,

If you like to receive text message updates from the school, please consider subscribing to this service via Twitter at twitter.com/cqccollege
We have had difficulty facilitating text message updates through our normal mobile service.
With Twitter, every parent can receive a text message without any cost to the school.
The same service is available through Facebook, whichever service you prefer. (Our Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Central-Queensland-Christian-College/16451... ).

Housekeeping Update

Dear Parents,

Thank You
We are looking forward to the Sausage Sizzle tomorrow. Thank you very much for the RSVPs that have been received.

Mosquitoes
With the warmer weather have come mosquitoes. For your child’s comfort and health, could you please send them to school with some insect repellent. A small bottle of roll-on repellent would be most suitable.

Donation Delight

To our delight and amazement, two young students have started giving regular donations to the building fund as an offering to the Lord. To me, this speaks volumes. It speaks of the place of the school as a Christian ministry and that it is something important to sow funds into.
People who put money into a building fund see the future. They not only see what the school has to offer students currently enrolled, they see what the school can offer many other children. They are not just looking at what can be built in the next twelve months, but what can be built over generations.

Queensland Inter-School Chess Finals

Congratulations to both High School and Primary chess teams for winning the Central Queensland Chess Inter-School Chess Tournament and qualifying for the Queensland finals in Brisbane on October 16-17. I will be writing to parents of chess team members to discuss possibilities. What an opportunity we have to represent Christ in this area.

Sowing Seeds

What a joy we have each day, sowing seeds into children’s lives! I enjoy thinking about the fruit that will come from our labour in the coming years and decades. The Bible says that we will reap what we sow. We sow seeds through our words and deeds, through what we say and how we live. We can be sure that as we sow the word of God into the lives of our children, a harvest of righteousness will come.
